As a Congress leader and a son of the soil, I firmly believe that the future of India depends on how we treat our farmers, empower our youth, ensure women’s safety, and protect the democratic rights of ordinary citizens. If the farmer, who is the true provider of the nation, remains in distress, then the future of the country can never be secure. The first priority must be to make farming a profitable business. Agriculture is not only the backbone of India’s economy but also the lifeline of millions of families. Yet, farmers often receive less than what their hard work deserves. To change this, the government should guarantee Minimum Support Price, invest in modern farming technologies, and promote agri-processing industries. Policies must focus on turning farming into a respected and rewarding profession where rural families live with dignity and financial stability. When agriculture becomes a profitable enterprise, the entire economy grows stronger.Alongside farmers, our youth are the greatest strength of our nation. Today, millions of educated young men and women are roaming unemployed, losing faith in the promises of the government. Without meaningful employment, this massive demographic dividend becomes a burden. We must create job opportunities by promoting industries in rural and semi-urban areas, strengthening vocational training, and supporting entrepreneurship. Start-ups, small businesses, and innovation-driven enterprises must receive government backing so that the young generation can find avenues to build careers and contribute to nation-building.Another important pillar of a secure and progressive society is women’s safety. No country can progress if half of its population lives in fear. It is the responsibility of the government to ensure strict law enforcement, fast-track justice systems, and comprehensive programs for women’s empowerment. Safety is not a privilege, it is a right, and the dignity of every daughter and sister of this nation must be protected at all costs. Finally, a true democracy ensures that the rights of ordinary citizens are protected. Governance must not be about slogans and speeches, but about service, accountability, and justice. The people of India deserve a government that listens, responds, and acts for their welfare.I strongly believe that by securing farmers, generating employment for the youth, and guaranteeing safety for women, India will truly secure its future. This is not just a vision, it is the path toward a stronger, fairer, and more prosperous nation.— Malkhan Singh Bhadoriya
